Yiannis has extensive experience in banking and finance, corporate law and project development. He has acted for Greek systemic banks and international investors in multiple securitisation transactions, including novel NPL portfolio securitisations, and has assisted in the establishment and operation of most of the Greek covered bond programmes. He also advises international funds in projects related to the transfer of NPEs as well as debt restructuring agreements. Yiannis is also heavily involved in the privatisation projects of DVLaw, leading the firm’s teams in the mandates by the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund and, recently, the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations. Prior to joining DVLaw, Yiannis worked with major Greek law firms in similar practice areas as well as in various EU funded technical assistance and investment support projects in the Balkans and the former Eastern bloc regions and worked as special legal advisor for the Hellenic Bank Association dealing with consumer credit, regulatory and capital markets issues.
